You can't beat the location of Washington Park, it's close to everything, including Old South Gaylord Street, an historic street that features quant shops and restaurants and is the second oldest shopping district in Denver. Wash Park is a perfect blend of history and comtemporary design. You'll see tree lined streets that are home to both multi-million dollar mansions and beautiful brick bungalows.
In addition to the abundant outdoor entertainment in Wash Park, you have to check out South Gaylord Street. Although small, it's only one city block, the historic street packs a punch! Great food and beverage options, and unique boutiques.
Washington Park is home to many local favorites including Bonnie Brae Ice Cream, an establishment that has been in the Wash Park district for over 30 years! South Gaylord Street features many delicious restaurants, bakeries and grills, and of course Cherry Creek and Downtown Denver are close enough to provide endless dining options.
Fun Fact: One of the gardens in Washington Park is a replica of George Washingtons gardens at Mount Vernon.
