About Northglenn

Northglenn is a carefully planned community just seven miles north of Denver, it is an attractive suburb with 36,000 residents. Once named ‘the most perfectly planned community in America’ by LIFE magazine its locals swear by smaller neighborhoods, great schools and abundance of outdoor activities here. Many original residents from when the town was incorporated in 1969 still live here. 

Northglenn is conveniently located 15 minutes away from downtown Denver and with the Rocky Mountains being to the west it is in the perfect location to access everything the state offers. Northglenn’s public recreation center has many recreational, cultural and educational activities, featuring live theatre performances at the auditorium. There are also various parks, lakes and open spaces to enjoy..

Northglenn Attractions  include the wild animal sanctuary, Denver Botanic Gardens, Water World, and Elitch Gardens theme and water park, most of which are only 15 minutes away in Denver.

Northglenn Outdoor Activities features 25 parks, trails and open spaces that cover more than 250 acres.

Northglenn Recreation Center  is a state of the art 40,500 square foot facility that has four mutli-purpose rooms, a gym, a pool, a weight room, two racquetball courts and a 300- seat performance theater.

Parks

Northglenn is home to 27 parks and open spaces connected by the Greenway Trail System, a trail system that connects to other major trail systems in the north metro area.  There are many popular parks in Northglenn, E.B Rains Jr. Memorial Park is a local favorite and ti's redesign and incorporation of Webster Lake earned it an America's Crown Community Award by American City and County Magazine. Northglenn has two open space areas and are perfect for nature lovers - Oscar Arnold Nature Area and Croke Reservoir.
