Uptown is a core city neighborhood located in east Denver, north of Capitol Hill. Living in Uptown, Denver
Uptown is also home to Denver’s largest green space, City Park, which features two of the city's most popular attractions: the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Even though Uptown is the city’s oldest residential neighborhood, it is known for its lively restaurants, trendy shops and forward-thinking attitude. Restaurant Row, which stretches from Broadway along 17th Avenue to City Park, puts a busy nightlife within walking distance with fine dining, outdoor cafes, stylish boutiques, and some of the best bars around town. Theaters in the area also provide great entertainment for arts enthusiasts.
Residential real estate in Uptown is diverse. Streets lined with tall green trees and classic Victorian homes mix well with the bungalows, high-rise lofts, and modern condos in the neighborhood.
One of the most active neighborhoods in Denver, Uptown offers things to do year-round. In the summer, the City Park Jazz Festival and the Black Arts Festival bring the park to life. In the winter, families flock to the neighborhood for Zoo Lights put on by the Denver Zoo.
