Sloan's Lake
Located on the western boundary of the city, the Sloan's Lake neighborhood is named for one of the best-known lakes in Denver. The neighborhood itself is located on the northwest side of Denver near the cities of Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, and Edgewater.

Sloan's Lake Park
Sloan's Lake is the second biggest park in the Mile-High City and the most beautiful lake in Denver. With views of both downtown Denver skyscrapers to the east and The Rocky Mountains to the west, Sloan's Lake has become an inner-city escape for Denver residents to enjoy not only the views but the openness and peacefulness of the surrounding water.
Boating and fishing are allowed on the lake. Its surrounding three-mile trail is very popular among hikers, joggers, and bicyclists. The park has been named one of best places for runners in Denver by the Denver Westword. With plenty of picnic space and gazebos, Sloan's Lake is a hot spot for locals who want to relax and hang out with friends on weekends. Home to all kinds of birds, fish, and plant species, Sloan's Lake is also a great place to view wildlife.

Every summer Sloan’s Lake Park hosts the annual Dragon Boat Festival that celebrates Asian American culture and draws thousands of spectators.
