About Monument
Monument, Colorado is located in El Paso County. It is a rapidly growing town situated at the base of the Rampart Range, offering countless mountain views. Monument is bordered by Pike National Forest, Colorado Springs, and the United States Air Force Academy.
The city is named for Monument Lake, part of the Tri-Lakes region consisting also of Lake Woodmoor and Palmer Lake. This area provides easy access to Denver via I-25.
Historic downtown features wooden sidewalks, art galleries, and antique shops. Residents can visit the 15-mile Santa Fe Regional Trial for biking, hiking, and horseback riding.
