Loveland is located in Northern Colorado and is part of Larimer County. It is 46 miles north of Denver and the 14th most populous city in the state. Loveland offers many activities for those who love the great outdoors. The city is near the foothills and rivers of the Front Range, so biking, hiking, horseback riding, trail running, and fishing are very popular.
Loveland's entertainment scene blends together outdoor activities, sporting events (Colorado Eagles hockey games), music (Foote Lagoon Concert Series) shopping, and more. Loveland has an art culture that sets itself apart. In the summer you can enjoy fun events like the Sculpture in the Park and Stone Age Fair.
You won't find skiing in this community, Loveland Ski Resort is west of this city. But don't worry, there is plenty to do outside in Loveland with the city near many hiking and biking trails. Colorado summers get very hot making the Lake Loveland Swim Beach a favorite spot among locals to swim and cool off. If you'd rather stay dry, Devil's Backbone Open Space features 12 miles of trails and a unique archway, you can hike through!
