Grand Lake is located in Grand County, Colorado. It is situated on the north shore of Grand Lake, the largest and deepest natural body of water in Colorado. It is a popular tourist destination, as it is adjacent to the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The park provides endless entertainment from hiking trails and wildlife watching to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is found in Grand Lake. This entrance tends to be less busy than the entrance in Estes Park. Drive Trail Ridge Road from one town to the other to get the full experience at see the Continental Divide!
Grand Lake is a city with endless all-year-round activity. Winter provides opportunities for snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling. This town is deemed the "snowmobiling capital of Colorado." Hiking, biking, horseback riding, and boating can be enjoyed in Spring-Fall.
