About Frederick
Frederick is located in Weld County, Colorado. It was named for Frederick A. Clark, a land owner, by his daughters.
The town of Frederick began as a coal mining town, attracting immigrants from Italy, France, Greece, and Turkey. Visit the Miners Memorial Museum for a peak at the town’s history. Dacono and Firestone are immediately adjacent to Frederick and Longmont is just a 20-minute drive away.
A thriving art culture includes a “scavenger hunt” of public art around town. The city also has several events, including Frederick in Flight, Frederick Market, and Miners Day
