Fort Lupton is located in Weld County, Colorado along the South Platte River. The city was named for Lieutenant Lancaster Lupton, who built a trading post here on the Adobe Creek in 1840. Although Fort Lupton wasn't officially incorporated until 1974, today its 7,000 residents have use of a recreation center that hosts a 139-foot waterslide and access to local farms that produce the freshest tomatoes statewide. Fort Lupton is also home to the Coyote Creek Golf Course.
Conveniently located, Fort Lupton is North of Denver, East of Boulder and West of Longmont, there is fun to be had in and near Fort Lupton!
