Bailey is located in the foothills of Colorado's Front Range, approximately 30 miles southwest of Denver . It’s one of the largest communities in the Platte Canyon Region and known for its beautiful mountain scenery, historic sites and parks, as well as its many outdoor recreation opportunities. Locals refer to the region as their "little bit of paradise."
Bailey is home to the Bailey Day street festival, an annual event that features bands, vendors, and family activities. The Bailey HUNDO is an annual 100-mile endurance mountain bike race that begins and ends in Bailey. The race raises money to construct new bike trails and support youth biking initiatives in Colorado.
Rolling Creek Trail Head is the mouth of a trail that provide access to the northeast side of Lost Creek Wilderness.
The Pike National Forest crosses several county lines and encompasses 1,106,604 acres of Colorado wilderness.
