About Aspen

Aspen, a Colorado city that needs no introduction. This well-known and well-loved city was founded in 1889 during the silver mining boom. Today it is a world-renowned ski town nestled in the White River National Forest. It’s a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking to take full advantage of all the Colorado Rockies have to offer like hiking, biking, skiing, and trail running. Aspen is also known for its high-end restaurants, shopping, and landmarks like the Wheeler Opera House.
It will cost you a pretty penny to live in Aspen, but it's well worth the investment! The town satisfies the tastes of the most discerning homebuyers and features mountain homes including sprawling cabins in quiet, gated communities.

Entertainment & Culture

Aspen is home to four well-known ski destinations:

  • Aspen Mountain
  • Buttermilk
  • Snowmass
  • Aspen Highlands

But there is more to Aspen than world-class skiing and àpres-ski gatherings (although we highly recommend you try both!).  Aspen offers plenty of year-round outdoor activities, no matter the season. Your days can be filled with activities that range from rafting to hiking, rock-climbing to fishing, golf to paragliding, and horseback riding to hot-air ballooning!

If hitting the town is your idea of fun, Aspen's downtown retail and theatre scene will not leave you disappointed. There's an activity for everyone.

  • Aspen Art Museum houses contemporary art and features internal shows.

  • Aspen Historical Society actively preserves and present Aspen’s history to the community.
