Cherry Creek is one of Denver's most elegant neighborhoods and features some of the best shopping and restaurants the city has to offer. Spearheaded by two major shopping districts, the upscale Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Cherry Creek North, Cherry Creek is anchored by almost 500 different shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries that create a very unique shopping experience. Cherry Creek North is where you can hit the spa, find a specialty boutique or visit one of Denver's best art galleries, while the Cherry Creek Shopping Center has over 160 brand name stores including high-end favorites like Coach, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.
The neighborhood got its name from the nearby Cherry Creek that runs through the south side and has adjacent hiking paths and biking trails that are very popular. The beauty of this area comes from streets lined with trees, colorful gardens, and a Victorian appeal of some of Denver's best kept houses. Locals here love how turn-of-the-century architecture blends right in with an urbanism that includes everything you'd ever need right here in Cherry Creek.
Real estate in Cherry Creek features some of the most sought after and gorgeous homes in Colorado. Most homes are luxurious mansions that could be featured in Architectural Digest and are huge properties with large lawns and well-kept gardens. The area is home to some top-notch schools and many parks that are filled with families on the weekends.
Cherry Creek is also bounded by four main streets making it easy to get around: University to the west, Colorado Boulevard to the east, 6th Avenue to the north and Alameda Avenue to the south.
Every 4th of July weekend the neighborhood hosts the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and turns into a huge outdoor gallery complete with live music, food, and performances. Another cool event the community hosts is a five mile foot race called the Cherry Creek Sneak that runs the streets and hiking paths of the neighborhood.
